Upon her return to Little Rock, Brooke gets in and drives off…she can’t keep the car on her side of the road…the drugs have taken affect.  She misses several collisions.  She looks up and a car is coming head on…she swerves to miss it and impacts into a concrete wall.

Brooke finds herself in rehab where her short-term memory is failing her.  It’s almost like she’s in a dream. and on a path that shows her the destruction she is headed for if she doesn’t change. 

Brooke learns how to turn darkness into light and see herself coming out on the right side for once. 

Brooke returns home to start her new life in Little Rock.  Nick takes Brooke on a picnic and then they sit around a candle lit blanket and look at the stars.  Nick proposes by placing the ring on his finger as he points to a bright star.  Brooke notices the ring and accepts Nick’s proposal. 

As she continues on her own journey of life and discovering new musical talent in Arkansas she decides to help others who are in the same situation she was by sharing her story of trials and triumph.

From the darkness, it emerges from the past.

The terror invades her dreams and brings her back to that night when she was just a child, small and defenseless. A night that was blocked out after years of therpy, a childhood of abuse for her and her mother. It lies there in the back of her mind, waiting... watching... growing stronger.

Despite her past, Kris has grown into a strong, independent woman. She finds comfort in helping inner city kids find hope. Then her life begins to unravel.

The darkness is growing...

A single mom, Jessica and her adorable six year old daughter, Jo Lynn enter Kris' life. As her attachment to Jo Lynn grows, Jessica begins to take advantage of Kris' kindness. Something is happening, something is changing, and Kris can only pray the darkness will go away, but will that be enough?

The darkeness is getting closer...

The tragic past she blocked out has come back to haunt her. On her quest for the truth, her nightmares are coming to life, there's no where to run, no where to hide. Something is coming for her, something is invading her dreams and her reality, and now, from out of the the darkness, something has returned...
